FAQ

What is a zine?

A zine is an unofficial fandom magazine—a collaboration collection of fanwork that centers around a specific media, theme, character, or ship. These usually include a collection of prose, stories, illustrations, or comics that may feature digital or physical merchandise.

Is Stellar Inflorescence free or for profit?

Stellar Inflorescence intends to be a body of work that is free to download and enjoy. As this zine is free, there will be no compensation other than a PDF of the final project.

Can other ships be included?

Albedo and Lumine’s relationship should be the focus of your piece and any interactions of other characters should be strictly platonic.

Are minors allowed to contribute?

We will only be accepting people who are sixteen plus (16+) in order to comply with international labor laws, and we will only accept them for the SFW section of the zine.

Will there be a NSFW add-on to the zine?

This will be tentatively decided by the interest checklist. If there is enough interest, we will have an NSFW side zine separate from the main SFW zine. Contributors will be accepted for only one role: either the main SFW zine or for the NSFW side zine.

How many contributors are you accepting?

This zine will run on a “first come, first served” basis, and we will accept forty (40) page artists, twenty (20) writers, and five (5) merch artists. If we will be including an NSFW side zine then we will accept ten (10) NSFW page artists and five (5) NSFW writers. However, all numbers are subject to change depending on interest checklist results.

Can contributors have multiple roles?

Thank you for your interest, however we will not be allowing contributors to have multiple roles. You can apply for multiple positions but will be chosen for only one role.

Are we allowed to collaborate with others?

Of course! You're free to collab with other contributors. Any collaborating contributors produce two pieces which are related to each other.

Can doujin groups or circles participate in the zine?

Doujin groups or circles are groups of people who work together to produce one art or fic piece under one name. If you are a doujin group or circle you are allowed to sign up for one slot together as a writer/writer or artist/artist group to submit one piece of writing or illustration. Please understand that if you sign up as a group, then the expectation is that you will be signing up under a single name/credit to work under and will not be credited individually.

What timezone will the zine run in?

All items on the zine schedule are in UTC-4 (EST).

Writing and Communications mod

While ive been in around seven zines, this is my first time modding one! But I’ve helped prepare albelumi week two years in a row with sav and several smaller events (fic remix events, server wide fic collabs, secret santas, etc.) and I have extensive beta and editing experience. This is very much a learning experience for me in terms of organizing an event like this, and im so grateful for the guidance and the opportunity to help.

I’m Sav, though I also go by Grail on Twitter. This is my first time working on a zine of any sort, much less being a mod of one. However, I have helped plan and organize Albelumi Week for the past couple years with Mina, and I have professional experience in project organization and planning. I’m very excited to learn more and to have the opportunity to work on a passion project for one of my favourite ships.

Heya, Im YUYU. Previously I was a graphic mod for projects and zine, however, this is my first time being Art mod - which is very exciting. I have years of experience in art, digital and traditional, as well as working experience in graphic position. I am super excited to be working on Albelumi, as they are one of my fav pairings, plus, its an amazing opportunity to help fellow artists and learn more.
